Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland & Harvard University, USA
Dr Jessy Lauer is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He is one of the main developers of DeepLabCut - an efficient method for 2D and 3D markerless pose estimation based on transfer learning with deep neural networks.
Jessy Lauer received his PhD in computational biomechanics at U Porto (Portugal) in 2017, during which he specialised in human movement modelling. He then joined Mackenzie Mathis’ lab at EPFL in 2020 to become a core developer of DeepLabCut and tackle the problems posed by multi-individual pose estimation and tracking.
During Neuronus 2022 Neuroscience Forum he will lead DeepLabCut Workshop. See more details about the workshop here.
